ABOUT CWAS-NSAMBYA BABIES HOME

Who we are, what we do, and the people who make it possible.

CWAS-NBH

CWAS-Nsambya Babies Home is situated within the same campus as the Child Welfare and Adoption Society (CWAS) Head Office. The home has a carrying capacity of 30 babies and young children, providing a safe and nurturing environment for those in need of care and protection.
The facility receives babies and children aged between zero and five (0–5) years through probation officers and law enforcement agencies. These children are often abandoned, neglected, or orphaned, with many having unknown family backgrounds.
Upon admission, each child receives comprehensive welfare support, including nutritious food, clothing, shelter, medical care, and basic early education. The period of stay at the home is temporary and varies depending on individual circumstances.
The ultimate goal of CWAS-Nsambya Babies Home is to ensure that every child is provided with a permanent and loving family environment. Therefore, children are reintegrated with their biological parents or relatives or placed in foster care or guardianship as soon as the reunification or placement process is successfully completed.
